Calvin Laveck - Writer and Co-Director

Calvin Laveck is a Yukon-born actor, musician, and vaudeville performer from Whitehorse. He trained in musical theatre at Sheridan College in Ontario and has performed across Canada in a wide range of productions, including Spring Awakening, Chicago, Merrily We Roll Along (Sheridan Theatre), Leading Singer (Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines), Dogtown (Nakai), Million Dollar Quartet (Magnus Theatre, Thousand Islands Playhouse, Sudbury Theatre Centre), and Once (Neptune Theatre). Calvin’s work spans acting, music performance, and theatrical ensemble roles, bringing energetic stage presence and versatility to every project.

Kevin McLachlan ​- Writer and Co-Director

​Kevin McLachlan is a Yukon-born actor, singer, dancer, and writer from Whitehorse. A graduate of Sheridan College’s Musical Theatre Performance program, he has established himself on Canada’s major repertory stages with multiple seasons at the Shaw Festival — including performances in Brigadoon, Damn Yankees, White Christmas, and more — as well as credits at the Stratford Festival in productions such as Something Rotten and La Cage aux Folles. Beyond acting, Kevin creates original music — releasing multiple albums under the name Koovy. His work bridges performance, songwriting, and community arts with a deep connection to his Yukon roots. 

Yvette Nolan - Dramaturg

​Yvette Nolan (Algonquin) is a distinguished Canadian playwright, director, dramaturg, and educator whose work has profoundly shaped contemporary theatre in Canada. Her acclaimed plays include The Unplugging, Annie Mae’s Movement, and The Birds, and she has written libretti for productions such as Shanawdithit, as well as work in opera and dance‑opera. From 2003–2011, she served as Artistic Director of Native Earth Performing Arts, Canada’s oldest professional Indigenous theatre company, and her book Medicine Shows, about Indigenous performance in Canada, was published by Playwrights Canada Press. Nolan has worked across the country on projects as a dramaturg and creative collaborator and continues to make significant contributions to the national stage with her powerful, empathetic, and visionary storytelling.

Scott Maynard - Music Director

​Scott Maynard is a versatile musician, composer, arranger, and musical director from Whitehorse, Yukon. Well‑known in the Yukon arts community, Scott has served as musical director for numerous theatre and performance productions and is actively involved as a creative collaborator and leader in Yukon’s music scene. He has worked on music direction for productions such as The 3Penny Variety Show and Onegin at the Pivot Festival, and contributed arrangements and original music for ensembles and orchestral performances in the territory. Beyond performance, Scott has held leadership roles supporting local music development, including serving as executive director of Music Yukon, advancing opportunities for Yukon musicians and fostering a vibrant northern music ecology. 

Velvet Antler Productions - Choreography

Velvet Antler Productions is a dance‑and‑performance production company based in Whitehorse, Yukon. Founded and run by local artists, Velvet Antler offers year‑round adult movement and performance classes for all levels, and produces high‑quality cabaret, burlesque, variety and showcase performances that celebrate Yukon women and Yukon talent. Known for popular seasonal events like Naughty Nutcracker, Spring Showcase, Christmas Kickoff, and the Cabin Fever Burlesque Festival, the company creates inclusive, empowering spaces for dancers and performers to explore confidence, self‑expression and live performance. Velvet Antler also supports local arts by hosting studio space and engaging with the broader Whitehorse creative scene.
